HOW DOES IT WORK?

As with all our live data feeds, weather information and live images collected from the exclusive AnythingWeather system are immediately available for clients to display on their own website as well.This data and image feed can be delivered directly to your website via XML, RSS, ASCII, FTP or through a custom-designed website hosted by AnythingWeather.

• Stand-alone weather stations require a computer on-site.
• AnythingWeather recommends the use of dedicated internet access for the on-site computer. However, dial-up internet service is also an option.
• Software is required to collect and transmit each site's real-time weather information to AnythingWeather.com. We recommend Weather Display™, although other software options are available and listed below.
• Each system reports the standard weather variables, including temperature, relative humidity, dew point, barometric pressure, wind speed and direction, and rainfall. However, variables can be added or deleted from most systems.

Capricorn 2000- This high-quality and durable weather station is easy to maintain and includes a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Solar radiation, multiple temperature sensors, soil moisture, and other sensors can be added for an additional fee. These stations are available either cabled or wireless. Pricing is approximately $2,000, depending on your selected options.

Rainwise- Rainwise offers our clients an option for a mid-range weather station. This hardware option will include all the standard weather variables. Rainwise comes with a 5-year warranty. The cost of the wireless system is similar to that of the wired option. Pricing is approximately $1,500, depending on your selected options.

Davis Wireless Vantage Pro- For a lower-end recreational weather station, the Vantage Pro System offers a good solution for the cost-conscious. A one-year manufacturer warranty is included. Wireless pricing is $595, plus $165 for the required computer connection cable and software (see below in "Software Options" section). Wired versions cost $495/unit. Add UV, solar radiation and ET data for an additional $275.

MetOne- MetOne offers high-end weather hardware for monitoring typical weather conditions. However, these units also focus on air quality measurements, such as PM-10 reporting, ozone monitors, and other air quality sensors. Stations are customized and greatly beneficial to our governmental and environmental clients, providing them vast options for non-standard reporting sensors.

Weather Display™- Weather Display is used by weather station data providers across the world. Weather Display is constantly adding features and AnythingWeather is also the exclusive provider of the broadcast version of Weather Display, which is used by television stations to display real-time weather data on-air from their local weather networks. Davis Instruments WeatherLink and software- Davis offers their own version of software for weather data collection, display and delivery of data from their Vantage Pro and Weather Monitor II stations. Davis requires this package be purchased to connect your Davis station to a computer. However, you can use one of the above third-party software programs with any Davis station as well. Netcam- The Netcam™ web camera is the most popular selling static camera with our clients. Netcam allows you to include your company, resort, or any name you wish to display along with the live images! It’s the perfect way to attract new business opportunities! This high-quality web camera can be used with the AnythingWeather System™ It may also be installed as a stand-alone web camera if you desire. Netcam connects with dial-up (dial-up modem required and not available with the "AnythingWeather System") or dedicated internet access, which is the better connection option. Wireless internet access also works very well for these remote cameras. The image quality is excellent with the standard Netcam, but an even higher-quality 850 Mega pixel version is also available. Pricing is approximately $595, with mega-pixel versions at $895.

WinCam- This lower-end camera does require a computer to operate. The WinCam offers a nice low-cost solution for those that have a tight budget. Software for image collection, display and FTP delivery is included. Pricing is under $250.

Live Pan/Tilt/Zoom Web Cameras- AnythingWeather also has user-controllable pan, tilt and zoom cameras available. These cameras are installed in a domed enclosure and offer on-line password-protected administration. Construction Cams- This on-site camera hardware/on-line management combo allows our clients to monitor construction sites in real-time and archive their entire construction process, which makes for an exceptional movie when the project is completed! The cameras are "live," as images are provided at 30 frames per second.

Traffic Cams- Mainly for our government clients, these traffic cams can monitor traffic conditions on any road across the country! They have flexible delivery, and archiving of the images allows for public access to the live images.

Television Station Broadcast Cams- We offer a variety of web cameras built for T.V. applications, including on-air presentation in real-time. We offer high-end web cameras and on-air broadcast cameras that display live images on-air and on your website in real-time. The cameras are very flexible and offer on-line password-protected access to pan, zoom, and tilt. Set-up uses a standard cable, DSL, T-1, or other high-speed connection, but a fiber optic connection is also possible.
